A Time to Reminisce & Reconnect

It's hard to believe that Homecoming weekend is just a few weeks away. We can't wait to welcome back and reconnect with hundreds of alumni, including members of the classes of '03, '93, '83, and '73, who will be celebrating milestone reunions. This time-honored tradition is an opportunity to engage with fellow Patriots and rekindle connections forged through shared experiences here at Stevenson.

Events like Homecoming and class reunions are just some of the ways the Alumni Association works to connect, support, and engage our Patriot community. To ensure that we continue to provide meaningful opportunities and relevant content, we need your input. We invite you to complete this 60-second survey -- your unique insight is invaluable. Participants will be entered into a drawing to win an Alumni Association hoodie.

If you haven't already, please be sure to RSVP for the Homecoming festivities on Friday, September 22. We hope to see you there!

Go Pats!

Jalen Brunson

Alumnus Jalen Brunson: The Magic is in the Work

For New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson '15, this mantra is a driving force behind his off-season regimen – both on the court and in his philanthropic endeavors. The Stevenson Foundation is proud to be one of Jalen's charitable partners and is always happy to welcome him back to SHS.

Jalen was a fixture on campus in late July, where he spent three days hosting the Jalen Brunson Skills Academy for local sixth through eighth graders. Now in its fifth year, the annual basketball camp not only teaches the game's fundamentals, but also emphasizes the value of hard work, perseverance, and a leadership mentality. Camp proceeds fund several Stevenson Foundation scholarships that are awarded to graduating seniors each spring.

Following this year's skills academy, Jalen's own nonprofit organization, the Second Round Foundation, hosted the inaugural Jalen Brunson Charity Golf Classic at Twin Orchard Country Club. The Second Round Foundation event raised funds to support various philanthropic causes, including the Stevenson Foundation's One Family program and Jalen Brunson Patriot Wellness Initiative (JBPWI). The JBPWI provides financially under-resourced students and families at SHS with resources, education, and opportunities to empower them to prioritize health and wellness in their lives.
